According to initial reports, Sanchita was found unresponsive at her residence in Nalasopara on June 14. Authorities have stated that the case is currently under investigation, and further details are awaited.

Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station confirmed that she was discovered inside her room at her residence. After being alerted, family members and local residents immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital in the Vasai–Virar region, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Police officials reached the location shortly after the incident and carried out necessary procedures before sending the body for post-mortem examination. Based on a complaint filed by her father, an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Authorities have stated that the exact cause is yet to be determined, and a detailed investigation is ongoing.

Sanchita Ugale began her career in television and quickly gained recognition for her role as Diya Tandon in Kumkum Bhagya. She also appeared in Wagle Ki Duniya and later played a lead role in the Dangal TV show Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi.

Expanding her career beyond television, Sanchita also worked in films and OTT projects, including Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout. She was also part of the film Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, where she portrayed the younger version of a key character.
